This training provides Oklahoma child care providers with essential knowledge and practices to create safe sleep environments for infants, in alignment with Oklahoma Child Care Services licensing requirements and AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) Safe Sleep Guidelines. Participants will learn how to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) by understanding safe sleep practices, appropriate sleep environments, supervision expectations, and how to communicate safe sleep policies with families. Through discussion and real-world scenarios, providers will gain confidence in implementing safe, consistent, and regulation-compliant infant care practices.
